Rising dark electropop artist Kitty Rae (she/they) is about to hit you right in the heart with their new single, 'Living’.

The song is a melancholic masterpiece. Showcasing Kitty's luscious vocal layers and pensive lyrics laid upon a relaxed bossa nova beat, the song embraces you like a warm hug whilst offering a heartfelt journey into the challenges of being human. The relatable refrain, "It's harder than it seems... living," encapsulates the emotional core of the track, inviting listeners into Kitty's world and offering solace to those navigating the ups and downs of life. 

Kitty Rae's music is driven by the desire to connect with others through shared emotions. Recently diagnosed with ADHD, Kitty has struggled with feeling disconnected from the world around them since they were a little kid; something they’ve been able to overcome through music. 

Drawing inspiration from Kitty’s favourite artists including Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish and Lorde who have provided them solace during challenging times, Kitty hopes that 'Living' will serve as a comfort for those struggling, knowing you’re not alone.

'Living' is a standout track on the forthcoming album, 'Lightning Strikes,' coming in September, 2023. The album includes Kitty’s angsty, empowering anthem ‘Sick of Being Sad’ that smashed 15K streams, featured on Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds AU + NZ’ Playlist and premiered on JOYFM The Sound of Now. The album further explores themes of breaking free from societal expectations to embrace your own power.
